July 28th, 2015

Rosco, Inc., a leading manufacturer in automotive vision safety products, is pleased to announce the approval of their MOR-Vision Mirror/Monitor systems for the use in school buses in more than 40 states.

Rosco Vision provides rearview mirrors, backup cameras, sensors, recording cameras and other visual safety equipment for the transit, school bus, truck, van, military and specialty vehicle markets.  Rosco is also the largest supplier of rearview mirrors to the North American school bus market and an advocate for New York’s Vision Zero initiative. In recent months, Rosco’s MOR Vision Mirror/Monitor has been approved for use in school buses in over 40 states nationwide.

With another school year starting in a few weeks, it is important to remind students of the safety precautions in and around the school bus: Keeping a safe distance from the bus stop curb, entering and exiting the bus only when it has reached a complete stop, and creating a rapport with the driver to look for signals especially when crossing in front of the bus.

The addition of a MOR-Vision Mirror/Monitor System the simple integration of the mirror monitor brings added safety to any school bus. MOR-Vision includes an ultra-bright 7" color LCD monitor positioned on the rear side of tinted safety glass in a school buses' large interior mirror. MOR-Vision's brightness facilitates a clear and crisp video image from a reverse camera, with an optional second camera on the exterior side or interior of the bus. Normal mirror view automatically reappears once the vehicle is shifted out of reverse.

Rosco showcased MOR-Vision at the North American Bus EXPO Conference & Trade Show (STN EXPO) this past month. The annual conference unites pupil transportation professional’s nationwide presenting the latest news, and technology to the school transportation industry.
