Rosco Introduces Backup Camera System for Construction and Agriculture Heavy Equipment

August 30th, 2013

Queens, NY – August 30, 2013 – Rosco, Inc. introduces a Weatherproof Aluminum Cased Backup Camera System ideal for construction and agricultural vehicles such as bulldozers, tractors, cranes, rollers, loaders, harvesters and dump trucks. Construction and agricultural vehicles require a strong and durable system because of the harsh work environments and are prone to blind spots because of the sheer size of the vehicles. The Rosco Backup Camera is housed in a waterproof casing, with built-in heating to keep the lens clear of snow, frost and condensation.  Drivers gain an edge in open or challenging cab environments with an aluminum cased 7” full-color LCD monitor with an ultra-sharp display for day or night driving that can stand up to any jobsite/vehicle vibration and impact.

“The STSK7360 Backup Camera System is proven performer in the most unforgiving environments” said Peter Plate, Rosco’s Director of Sales & Marketing.  “While safety was the main reason for installing the cameras on construction and agricultural vehicles, the drivers quickly discovered additional benefits to a backup camera view, whether they are loading trucks in the yard, clearing snow from parking lots through the winter, or making sure the harvester’s chute is clear”

Rosco STSK7360 Construction/Agriculture Rear View Camera Systems are complete with a 7” full-color LCD monitor and all necessary wiring harnesses, cables and mounting accessories. The rear view camera provides a clear, ultra-sharp display in day or night conditions. The heated heavy-duty weatherproof camera gives a 120° diagonal wide-angle view behind the vehicle covering the driver’s personal danger zone. The STSK7360’s four (4) camera inputs and triggers are controlled internally by the monitor for less connections (no external control boxes), greater reliability, and ease of installation. The monitor includes Quad, Tri, Split, or Single screen options. A two-point monitor mount provides greater vibration free hold, shock and vibration resistance while the twist lock o-ring sealed non-metallic connectors provide superior moisture protection and corrosion resistance. The system is completely weather-proof and water pressure tested with an IP67K rating, shock and impact resistant, and comes with a one (1) year warranty. All other camera options and accessories are sold separately.

Backup Camera Systems prevent injuries and save lives. An efficient rear view camera can also end up saving fleets money by preventing accidents, expensive repairs and insurance claims. Considering the nominal cost, Rosco Backup Camera Systems have become a necessity for all vehicle fleets. The average backing collision claim costs thousands of dollars if just the vehicle or property has been damaged, and hundreds of thousands, if not millions, if personal injury occurs. Rosco is a leader in the rear view camera industry and offers a wide selection of products designed to improve the safety for drivers, passengers and pedestrians.
